Hey ya’ll sports betting freaks! While Madison is enjoying herself in the great state of Wisconsin drinking Leiny’s and eating some HotDish I’m left here slaving away at the computer looking over lines and news during the middle of the week. So here we go with some quick slant routes on what I’ve seen in the last 24 hours that has caught my brown eyes.

1. Hexy Rexy finally has been given the boot by Lovie Smith. Lovie stood by his man longer than Tammy Wynette stood by George Jones. The Bears might actually be able to move the ball consistently now. I like the move and thought it was way over due. The Bears have the Lions coming up and despite the public thinking the Lions can beat the Bears because they are so wounded now I’m going to the Bank with Da Bears as a 2.5 point favorite. I’d even take them at -3. Wake up guys and girls, they were in the Super Bowl last year and Urlacher is Pissed! The Bears under Lovie are 6-1 off a Straight Up loss vs a division opponent and 4-1 ATS vs the Lions the last 5 games. Take a look at the over/under sitting at 45 right now on betonline.com That’s a lot of points for these two teams given the mood Da Bears are going to be in come Sunday.

2. The poor Saints just can’t catch a break in 2007. Now Deuce has gone down with a torn ACL in his left knee. I really feel for the guy because I think he’s one of the things that is Right in the NFL. This really puts the Saints in a tough position to get any consistency going in the running game as I have always thought Reggie Bush is terribly overrated as just a pure Runner. Look to take advantage of some lines that might be living off of last year’s perception for the next couple of games.

3. The Rams head to Dallas this Sunday without Stephen Jackson. He went down with a pulled groin and will be out a couple of weeks. That groin pull thing, man that’s gotta hurt! The Rams may also be without starting QB Marc Bulger as he has 2 broken ribs and a banged up knee. All of this along with an offensive line that has been wrecked with injuries and the Rams season is getting old real quick. They do play Dallas tough historically though and at last check they were getting 13.5 points. This is a classic place for the Cowboys to slug through a game at home and have a few too many cocktails the night before thinking they can just phone in a victory. The over/under is sitting at 46.5 right now on many sportsbooks and that looks a little high to me. Rams are banged up, Cowboy could really be flat, Rams have an athletic secondary…Hmm Check back later in the week after I do some more research on this one.

4. Finally we have a Monday Night Match-up that I think Vegas is way off. The line currently is the Patriots -7 vs Bengals. I don’t know if anyone has checked the fact that last year the Pats won 38-13 in Cincinnati and this years team is so much better than that squad. Not to mention Rudi Johnson is most likely out for the game and the secondary of the Bengals Sucks. There going against Tom Brady and Randy Moss for Christ’s Sakes. Go run to your nearest sportsbook before that line moves up to 8 or 9 points. The Pats probably won’t go undefeated this year, but they are not going to lose on Monday Night with the chip they have on their shoulder thanks to Eric Mangini and Mr. Goodall.

I’ll be back later with some break downs of this Sunday’s games!
